Mint Classics brings you one of the most important vehicles in BMW Motorsport history.
In 1986, before the company entered the E30 M3 in the German Touring Car Championship, 3 factory vehicles were used to develop what was going to become the most successful touring car in history.
Two of those development cars are unaccounted for. And the only one known today -in its original configuration and factory OEM specification-, is this one. The car is so unique that its racing livery was hand painted by Walter Maurer, who also worked on the BMW Art Car project. The artist only ever painted two of these DTM M3.
